The Morgan-Greer tarot card deck fuses classical imagery with a 1970's vibe, Filled with saturated color and clean, almost poster-like lines. Designed by artist Bill Greer with direction from Lloyd Morgan, the images are borderless, so when laid out in a spread they create a lovely picture. Greer was inspired by the images on the Waite-Smith Tarot and the work of Paul Foster Case, a tarot scholar, who viewed the cards as "the use of spiritual intuition to find solutions to problems". As Greer says, "There are certain colors used as dictated by Case for symbolic reasons. I sought to incorporate these colors and elaborate, so as to create an immediate emotional reaction to each card even before an image could be looked at in depth." The bold simplicity extends through the deck, where Only the major arcana and court cards have titles This evocative set features full scenes on every card and the figures are often large, giving a sense of closeness and instant meaning.
