The Moleskine Pocket Reporter notebook offers an alternative binding style to the classic Moleskine journal, offering a top binding inspired by the journalistic tradition. The Reporter notebook has a hard cover that flips opens at the top, characteristic of reporter's notebooks.

Like the classic Moleskine journals, the Reporter journals are made with a durable thread-bound binding, acid-free paper and the now famous black 'moleskine' textured cover.

Moleskine Paper Grade Guide

  • Moleskine "standard" paper used in most Moleskine notebooks is 70 gsm (47#), ivory-colored paper, acid-free and eco-friendly FSC certified. It is made from pigmented pulp, and is perfect for pens and pencils, and all dry media (e.g., charcoal and pastels).
  • Moleskine "standard plus" paper used in Cahier and PRO notebooks is slightly thicker than the "standard" paper is 100 gsm (68#), ivory-colored paper, acid-free and eco-friendly FSC certified. It is made from pigmented pulp, and is suitable for fountain pens, pens and pencils, and all dry media.
  • Moleskine "sketch" paper used in Sketchbooks/Sketching Kit, Japanese Albums, Storyboard Notebooks is 165 gsm (111#), acid-free and eco-friendly FSC certified. This rich sketch-grade card stock is the most substantial paper and stands up to eraser use and provides a great base for all dry media (drawing pencils, pastels and charcoal), as well as pens, fountain pens and markers.
  • Moleskine "watercolor" paper used in Watercolour Books is 300 gsm (140#), a cold-pressed, cotton-blend watercolor heavyweight paper. It is made from using 35% cotton fiber and can handle layer upon layer of watercolor washes, in addition to all dry media (drawing pencils, pastels and charcoal), as well as pens, fountain pens and markers.
