    Additional Info

A few interesting Pac-Man facts: Pac-Man, originally titled Pakkuman, was first released by Namco in Japan on May 22, 1980. Licensed shortly thereafter in the United States by Midway, Pac-Man instantly became a smashing success in the U.S. that would eventually go on to sell over 350,000 units and become one of the most famous arcade games of all time. Not only did it create a buzz in the video game industry, but it also inspired merchandise, a television series, and a top-ten music hit. Today Pac-Man is one of three video games that are on display at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., along with Pong and Dragons Lair.
